Raditude
Arguably one of the most elusive and mysterious bands out there today. If Raditude were professional wrestlers they would be from "parts unknown". Musically, Raditude weighs in somewhere between NOFX and Sick Of It All.
Keep on the look out for a myspace site along with clips from their new CD Paint the Town Rad.
Career Criminal
Austin's self-proclaimed "roid rage skins"...They don't feel pain, they don't feel pity or remorse. You can't bargain with them or plead with them and they absolutely WILL...NOT...STOP.

Formed in AMERICA in 2005, CAREER CRIMINAL is a punk/hardcore band featuring members of PRIDE KILLS (Thorp Records) and BITTER TONGUES (United Edge Records). Bridging the gap between fiercely intimidating good looks and tight-ass jams, CAREER CRIMINAL gets crunk in ways the world never dared dream possible.

Rumor has it that the band's penchant for petty crime and general thuggery kept some of Austin's longer standing yet more squeemish punk labels at bay. Also treading on the same rumor mill is word that Bob-O (Founder, CEO of SWR) was just pleased as punch to sign Career Criminal citing that their "kneecapping" skills might come in handy with some of the label's - shall we say - "slower paying distributors"....

"Dropped somewhere between The Jam and Agnostic Front, it's poetic justice played fast and loud."-The Austin Chronicle

"Stripped-down oi/punk/hardcore influenced in no small part by Sham 69, The Four Skins, Cro-Mags and Slapshot." -Punknews.org

"Man, fuck these chumps. Bitches owe me $12." -Black Mike

Saint Street Brawlers
Altercation Punk Zine has this to say about SSB's Shattered World Records debut Story of a Wasted Life

Here's the thing with Oi! bands - there's a million of them, but strangely very few good, much less memorable ones. There's a reason why every skin Ive ever met are still crossing their boots at night, hoping for the Cocksparrer U.S. tour that's never coming back.
So I owe Saint Street Brawlers a pair of suspenders for taking the form and doing it right, as in really the way this music is supposed to be delivered. Working class anthems abound like "The Youth", "Faded American Dream" and "Pub Song", and if this album doesn't get the circle pit moving at your next house party then it's time to get new friends.
Up the punx!

Belligerent 86
Belligerent 86 was formed in Austin, TX in 1997 by Houston Ritcheson (guitar, vocals) and Bobby Fuentes (drums, vocals) after the demise of their ska/oi/punk band the Contradicks, which was formed in 1994 along with Dynamite Boy guitarist Sean Neil. Going for a harder edge and a sound to go along with their reputation for being 86'd from most reputable clubs in Austin, the name Belligerent 86 was taken. Along with Josh Nash on bass,(replaced shortly after by Josh "pink" Purpurra previously of Endless Struggle) the band was originally a trio and began practicing in South Austin's infamous practice space/party spot/show venue The South House along with notable Austinites The Lower Class Brats, The Chumps and The Oi!strs (who Fuentes also played drums for). After breaking up in 1999 shortly following the band's Austin appearance on the Social Chaos tour, Houston went on to form Brewtality Inc. and Bobby went on to front the Austin hardcore band Blunt Force Trauma. When local interest in Belligerent 86 was rekindled by heavy airplay on pirate radio station KAOS 95.9, the band decided to give it another go. This time with Doug O. from Route 23 taking on lead guitar duties, and Mike "Danger" Conklin on bass. The result was the first release in the bands 10 year history, Off The Wagon.
Intentionally sequenced to resemble a long weekend of drunken debauchery, Off The Wagon grabs you by the blue collar and clocks you out of work on Friday with "Punch Out Time"...A few beers, brawls, break-ups and STDs later and you're out on "Saturday Night"...A rowdy pub version of the Sam Cooke Classic. The songs in between will have you pumpin' your fists, singin' along and slammin' your beers...Sunday then comes and drops you off at home safely after swerving out of the Sunday Drunk Club Ball with "Been Drinkin' ". Just in time for work on Monday morning. Be sure to sleep face down!!

Blunt Force Trauma
Fusing the precision of metal with the nihilism of punk, Blunt Force Trauma slammed into the Austin, Texas music scene in 1999. Rising from the ashes of punk band Second Chance, singer Bobby Fuentes, guitarist Slaytoven, and bassist Bob Paxton set forth to smash the scene in the tradition of the brutal “crossover” pioneers such as Bad Brains, Slayer, D.R.I., and S.O.D.
After recruiting local veteran metal drummer Ben Burton, (incidentally Burton had once auditioned for Slayer) the line-up was complete and set out on their mission to assault audiences with their five-alarm blaze of fury, thunderous rhythm and lightning riffs. A short time after their formation, Blunt Force Trauma recorded and released their self-titled debut, a ten song, twenty-two minute musical and lyrical tirade on everything from trash-talking peers and exes to the sheer boredom and insanity of mandatory community service.

2001 found the band more seasoned than ever and with a bigger enemy at which to target its vicious blows: The global corporate elite. After stumbling onto various books and talk radio shows about the dissolution of U.S. founding principles, Fuentes went to work and penned the venomous and unapologetically political lyrics that when set to the now intricate and multi-tempo BFT onslaught, would become the anticipated GOOD MORNING AMERICA…Unfortunately, drummer Ben Burton would leave the band before a proper CD release could happen. Unwilling to put GOOD MORNING AMERICA…to rest before it could be heard, Fuentes set out on the difficult task of finding a replacement drummer.

Fast-forward 6 years to the present: After meeting prominent drummer Felix Griffin (formerly of D.R.I.-yet another BFT influence) in downtown Austin at a punk show, Fuentes knew he’d inevitably invite Griffin to occupy the vacant BFT drum throne, and after giving GOOD MORNING AMERICA…a listen, Griffin agreed to join the band.

Now with six years of building tension about to be unleashed and a fistful of new creative fervor, Blunt Force Trauma now seems ready to blast forth with a barrage of blows to audiences in Texas and beyond.

As Austin Chronicle reviewer Greg Beets said of BFT: “who can possibly argue with the concept of putting anger to work for you?”
