Felix of Blunt Force Trauma to tour Europe with MDC
MDC PULLS OUT ALL STOPS
FOR EUROPEAN MIKEY “OFFENDER” MEMORIAL TOUR
Classic punk band MDC will embark on their 2008 European tour in late March. The tour is being billed as the Mikey Donaldson Memorial Tour and will include stops in Holland, Belgium, Ireland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and England.
Donaldson, also known as Mikey “Offender” played bass for MDC in the early 80s and was reunited with them in 2004, with the release of Magnus Dominus Corpus which was followed with extensive worldwide tours.
The punk world was shaken in September 2007 when news spread of Mikey’s death in Barcelona, Spain at the age of 46. Raised in Killeen, Texas, Mikey Offender went on to earn legendary status as one of the most influential punk bass players ever known, traversing with ease between a “who’s who” of the most notorious punk bands including MDC, D.R.I. And of course, the Offenders.
Joining MDC on this tour will be pioneering “crossover” drummer Felix Griffin, formerly of D.R.I.
Griffin, along with Mikey Offender, broke new ground in D.R.I.‘s classic Dealing With It album, which is arguably among the first to crossover between punk and metal. Having left D.R.I in 1992, Griffin had returned to Austin to enjoy a break until a recent stint with Austin’s Roger’s Porn Collection and currently neo-crossover band Blunt Force Trauma.
The tour promises to be among MDC’s tightest and most spirited to date, being a memorial and celebration of a lost but never forgotten legend, friend and musical comrade, Mikey “Offender” Donaldson.

ESE signs to Shattered World Records
Houston TX's "pride of the northside" and hardest working punk-n-roll band , ESE have signed on with Shattered World Records. Their newest CD "Wuz Up, Ese" is available from this very site and will be available soon from your favorite digital distribution sites (iTunes, Napster, Payplay). ESE plans to do extensive touring behind their CD in addition to their ubiquitous dates in Houston and their home away from home, Austin. Keep checking Shattered World Records for tour dates.

Career Criminal and Raditude CD releases
October and early November have been hella busy at SWR. October 19th saw the CD release of Raditude's debut CD PAINT THE TOWN RAD with a with a Shattered World release party at Headhunter's in Austin. Also on the bill were fellow label-mates the Saint Street Brawlers and Blunt Force Trauma. November 3rd brought the debut release of Austin skinhead band Career Criminal entitled ROID RAGE SKINS. The band celebrated the release by playing a show at the Fun Fun Fun fest in Austin, sharing the stage with the likes of Youth Brigade, Poison Idea, and Riverboat Gamblers.
